Senior Programmer Analyst

Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Senior Programmer Analyst. This is a full-time, calendar-year, continuing position.

The Senior Programmer Analyst supports Rhode Island College’s Enterprise Information Services team by designing, developing, maintaining, and integrating applications and technology solutions that support campus operations. The role involves programming, system analysis, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and providing technical guidance to campus stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of programming experience, with strong skills in SQL/PL-SQL, relational databases, and other programming or scripting languages. They should be analytical, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Experience with SaaS applications, Oracle PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems, iPaaS solutions, Microsoft SQL/Oracle databases, and higher education technology is preferred.


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in an applicable field.
  • 4 years of programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field with two year of programming.
  • Experience with SaaS solutions, particularly in the higher education sector.
  • Familiarity with Oracle PeopleSoft ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Proficiency in Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutions.
  • Experience in applications management and administration, including user permissions, troubleshooting, and vendor support.
  • Experience in higher education settings.
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Database and/or Oracle Database.
