Assistant Professor of Graphic Design (1-Year Limited)
Rhode Island College invites applications for a full-time, 1-Year Assistant Professor of Graphic Design.
The Assistant Professor of Graphic Design will teach undergraduate BA and BFA students the principles, theories, and professional practices of graphic design while fostering their creative, conceptual, and technical development. The position develops and delivers coursework in areas such as typography, publication design, branding, and package design, while overseeing the Graphic Design curriculum, studio equipment, and program resources.
The faculty member will advise students, support thesis and capstone projects, and engage in scholarly research and creative activity. The role also includes service to the department and college through committee work, curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation efforts, and administrative support for the Graphic Design Program.
Required Qualifications:
- MFA in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Significant professional teaching experience.
Minimum Salary for Terminal Degree: $67,734.91
