Coordinator, Recreation and Fitness Programs/Strength Coach
Rhode Island College invites applications for the full-time position of Coordinator, Recreation and Fitness Programs/Strength Coach. This is a full-time, calendar year, continuing position.
The Coordinator, Recreation and Fitness Programs/ /Strength Coach will plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and supervise programs and activities that are recreational and fitness-oriented in nature, with special emphasis on student programming.
Rhode Island College first introduced intercollegiate athletics in 1929, but never in our long history has our program experienced the unprecedented growth and success that it has over the past quarter century. Since 1995 a dedicated team of coaches and staff has been working tirelessly to ensure that RIC student-athletes remain among the most competitive in the region, both academically and athletically. Over the past decade the college has enjoyed its greatest period of success as one of the nation’s top public institutions; virtually all of RIC’s sports have challenged for conference and regional titles.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education, recreation, sport’s administration or related field.
- At least two years’ experience gained by working in a recreational related setting with some emphasis on fitness programming and management.
- Master’s Degree in physical education, recreation, sports’ administration or related field.
- Bilingual
Proposed starting salary: $67,000
