Assistant/Associate Professor, Health Care Administration (Fall 2025)
Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Health Care Administration. This is a continuing tenure-track, academic year, full-time position.
The School of Business aims to prepare students to lead boldly in business and industry. Our accomplished faculty puts theory into practice every day. Grounded in the liberal arts, we combine core business and management competencies, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills across our departments: accounting, economics and finance, health care administration, management and marketing, and sports management. We teach small classes where we can interact one-on-one with students, which spurs engagement and accelerates learning. Starting on day one, our students get primed to excel in a future career in business or industry or pursue advanced study.

Required qualifications:
- A Ph.D. or DrPH in Health Care Administration, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience in higher education.
- A record of peer-reviewed publications or potential for scholarly research.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and community stakeholders.
- Experience in health care leadership or administration in a clinical or operational setting.
- Expertise in one or more areas such as health care finance, policy analysis, transformational leadership, or health care quality improvement.
- Experience with in-person teaching and curriculum development.
- $71,791.10 (minimum salary for terminal degree-Assistant)
- $82,559.77 (minimum salary for terminal degree-Associate)
