Coordinator, Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program
Rhode Island College invites applicants for the positions of Coordinator, Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program. This is a full-time (for the first two years), calendar year, grant-funded, temporary position that is renewable contingent upon funding position.
The Feinstein School of Education and Human Development is responsible for designing, developing and implementing programs that prepare professional personnel for educator and counseling roles in schools and social service agencies that serve the needs of the diverse communities of Rhode Island. The RIC Feinstein School of Education and Human Development Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program (RTAP) office works collaboratively with undergraduate and graduate programs, the Institute for Labor Studies and Research RTAP liaison, and school districts to coordinate the RIC-FSEHD RTAP. The office will be responsible for overseeing the only Rhode Island approved teacher apprenticeship program. RTAP also manages the administrative aspects of the RTAP including but not limited to general communications, assessment timelines, the development of policies and procedures, credential review, development of student plans of study, collaborations, and conflict resolution. Additionally, this office will support faculty throughout the roll out and implementation of the RTAP.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years in program coordination or administration experience, with executive communications, basic budgeting and measurement, meeting planning & execution, and reporting experience.
- Master's in Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, Educator-preparation-degree-and-teacher-certification.
- 2-4 years’ teaching or school coordination experience.
Proposed starting salary: $53,000- $59,000
