Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Vice Provost, Academic Affairs, in the Office of Academic Affairs. This is a full-time, calendar year, continuing position.

Rhode Island College invites applications for two strategic and collaborative Vice Provosts for Academic Affairs. Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, these senior academic leaders play a central role in advancing the College’s academic mission, strengthening academic quality, and supporting institutional effectiveness.

The Vice Provost provides leadership for key academic initiatives, including institutional and programmatic accreditation, student learning assessment, and strategic academic planning. Working closely with deans, department chairs, and campus partners, the Vice Provost promotes a culture of continuous improvement, inclusive excellence, and data-informed decision-making.

This role supports faculty onboarding and professional development, advances innovative and alternative teaching and learning modalities, and represents Academic Affairs on essential campus committees and institution-wide initiatives. The Vice Provost also collaborates across divisions to support compliance with regulatory requirements, advance grants and special projects, and identify academic and operational efficiencies.
