Assistant Professor of Chemistry (1-Year Limited)
Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry. This is a 1-year limited, academic year, full-time position.
The Assistant Professor of Chemistry will teach undergraduate students from a wide range of programs, including Chemistry majors and minors, Biology majors, and Nursing and other healthcare majors. The position will entail mainly teaching labs, although some lecture classes may be available in the spring semester. Ability to collaborate across departmental subdisciplines preferred.
Established in 1854, Rhode Island College is a teaching-focused, primarily undergraduate, mid-sized state institution of about 6400 students located in a suburban setting in Providence. We serve and celebrate a diverse student population in which over 40% of the undergraduates are students of color and over 45% are the first in their family to attend college. Required qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
- Research experience in chemistry or a closely related field.
- College teaching experience; Post-doctoral research.
- Bilingual
Minimum Salary for Terminal Degree: $65,264
