Frank E. Thompson 8th Graders Visit BankNewport After Completing Financial Literacy Program
In partnership with the Rhode Island Office of the General Treasurer and Financial Literacy Initiative, eighth graders from Frank E. Thompson Middle School recently completed an eight-week financial literacy program this spring. To celebrate their work, participating students visited BankNewport’s Washington Square branch, where they learned more about careers in banking and what goes into operating a bank on a day-to-day basis.
The program gave students a hands-on look at personal finance, banking careers and real-world money management skills at an important age.
