Rhode Island Philharmonic to Play Free Outdoor Concert at Rosecliff
The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a free concert of favorites from theater, film and classical music on the oceanside lawn of Rosecliff on Sunday, August 9, starting at 7 p.m.
The concert is hosted by The Preservation Society of Newport County with generous support from Discover Newport.

Conducted by Troy Quinn, Rhode Island’s premier symphonic orchestra will perform the famous “William Tell” and “1812” overtures as well as music from “Phantom of the Opera,” “West Side Story,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Mary Poppins,” “My Fair Lady,” “Wicked” and much more.
Parking will not be available at Rosecliff except for guests with a disability placard. Attendees are encouraged to travel by bicycle or bus. Bike racks will be available courtesy of Bike Newport. The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority's Route 67 bus is free and stops at Rosecliff. See www.ripta.com/routes/67.
The Rosecliff back lawn will open at 5 p.m. for picnicking; bring your own blanket, lawn chairs, food and drinks, and please take out what you bring in. The concert will be canceled in case of rain.
