People's Credit Union Promotes Melissa Barros Head of Learning and Development

People’s Credit Union announced the promotion of Melissa Barros to Head of Learning & Development. Reporting to Kerry Parent, Head of Human Resources & Talent, Ms. Barros will be responsible for the implementation and success of sustainable learning initiatives for all employees, as well as overseeing a team of specialists delivering departmental training efforts across the organization. 

“An experienced and collaborative leader, Melissa will oversee our company-wide learning and development efforts,” said Parent. “Her branch management experience makes her uniquely equipped to partner with department subject matter experts to not only assess the effectiveness of our current programs but also identify new initiatives that can help drive People’s Credit Union and our employees to future success.”
 
Since joining People’s Credit Union in 2020, Ms. Barros held management positions in the North Kingstown and Wakefield branches before moving to her most recent position as Learning & Development Lead. Ms. Barros is a resident of Pawtucket, RI.
