New Kingstown Road Location Will Have Extended Hours and Greater Conveniences
People's Credit Union has announced the groundbreaking of a new branch building at 703 Kingstown Road in Wakefield, RI, just half a mile from the current location at 150 Old Tower Hill Road. Construction on the new building is expected to be completed by year's end, with the branch relocation scheduled for early 2026.
"As we continue evolving to better serve our members and meet the needs of our community, relocating to a new and improved branch in Wakefield marks an exciting milestone,” said Sean Daly, Head of People’s Credit Union. “With extended hours, private meeting spaces, and a larger drive-up, this convenient new location enhances the member experience and reinforces our long-standing commitment to the Wakefield community.”
The team at People’s Credit Union worked closely with the town of South Kingstown to design the new Wakefield branch to be in line with the town’s architectural aesthetic and support its master plan to improve the biking and walking infrastructure downtown. The new Wakefield branch features a larger footprint, additional parking, and will offer extended hours from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, and 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays, as well as a convenient technology bar and coin-operated machine. Along with a 24-hour drive-up ATM, safe deposit boxes will be available.
