We’re launching a new program to give children the opportunity to advance their swimming skills, learn competitive strokes, and build essential life skills. At the Mount Hope Waves Swimming Club, our mission is to "Build Champions" both in and out of the water. We believe every child deserves the chance to grow, learn, and thrive - especially those from underserved communities who often face significant barriers to accessing resources like swim lessons.

Join WRWC and the Audubon Society of Rhode Island for a fun, hands-on morning as we work together to create safe spaces for local birds along the Greenway. We’ll be installing birdhouses and learning about the important role birds play in the ecosystem. Creative Welding: Exploring Form and Function

4/14 - 6/16/25
In this 8 week class students will explore the intersection of the functionality and artistry of metalworking. The class will start with hands on exercises that will review and further develop students metal working skills while cultivating a creative mindset. This class is ideal for folks who have taken weekend welding and want to further expand their metal working skills and combine the technical process of metal working with creative expression. Throughout this class new techniques and processes will be explored and students will be given the opportunity to create a piece of work that reflects their individual style.

Mandolins Spring Up at the Music Mansion
88 Meeting Street, Providence / 2:30 pm
L’Esperance looks forward to presenting mandolins on a spring afternoon with Russian Virtuoso Ekaterina Skliar. Ms. Skliar is a winner of the 2019 Astral National Auditions. At the age of 11, she debuted with the Russian Folk Instrument Orchestra of the Buryatia Republic. She has gone on to perform with numerous chamber ensembles and orchestras in Russia, Europe and the U.S. Her vast repertoire includes transcriptions of classical music, original works for domra and mandolin, and contemporary music.
