GPBOR CARE 2026 Grant Recipients Announced
GPBOR C.A.R.E. Foundation Awards 2026 Charitable Grants to Two Rhode Island Nonprofits
The GPBOR C.A.R.E. Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2026 charitable grants will be Amenity Aid and McAuley Village.
- Amenity Aid, founded in 2013, is dedicated to ending hygiene insecurity in Rhode Island by supplying essential hygiene products to individuals and families in need.
- McAuley Village, founded in 1975, provides food, shelter, clothing, emotional support, and guidance to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
At their annual meeting on September 10, 2025, the GPBOR C.A.R.E. Foundation presented checks of $5,000 each to its 2025 grant recipients, the Mae Organization and the Empowerment Factory, along with a $2,500 contribution to the REALTORS® Relief Foundation. Since its inception in 2013, GPBOR C.A.R.E. has distributed more than $159,500 to local and national charitable efforts.
Also at the meeting the Foundation installed its 2026 Board of Directors:

- Treasurer – Sally Hersey, Williams & Stuart Real Estate
- Corporate Secretary – Ian Barnacle, Residential Properties, Ltd.
- Directors – Freddie Almeida, Navigant Credit Union; Ratha Kwiat, Century 21 Butterman & Kryston, Inc.; Lisa Carreiro, The Mello Group; and Dean deTonnancourt, HomeSmart Professionals Real Estate.
