DiPrete Engineering is pleased to announce the promotion of Jonathan W. Sheppard into the firm’s Executive Leadership Program. Jon joined DiPrete Engineering in 2021 and has consistently demonstrated strong leadership potential, technical excellence, and commitment to the firm’s values. Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 2020 and joined the firm as a Project Engineer.

As a Project Engineer, Jonathan works closely with engineers and project managers on conceptual site planning, due diligence, engineering design, regulatory permitting, and construction support for a wide range of public and private sector projects. His experience includes stormwater management design, drainage analysis, hydraulic modeling, and preparation of regulatory submissions at the local, state, and federal levels. He has also played an important role in advancing internal operations through continuous improvement initiatives, including hands-on leadership contributions to major CAD system enhancements, while maintaining demanding project schedules.

In addition to his project responsibilities, Jonathan is deeply invested in developing others. He leads the firm’s onboarding program, helping new engineers successfully integrate into the organization and establish a strong foundation for growth. His ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the firm has made him a trusted resource for both peers and senior staff.
