New Community Lending Center in Providence

Bristol County Savings Bank, with branch locations across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, announces the opening of its new Community Lending Center at 359 Broad Street in Providence, Rhode Island.  Highlighting its expansion in Rhode Island, the Bank hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday at its new center to officially celebrate the opening, followed by an open house.  As part of the event, the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to One Neighborhood Builders, a leading affordable housing non-profit developer based in Providence.

The new office, located inside the Rhode Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce headquarters, represents a strategic investment in the Bank’s continued growth and commitment to serving the diverse Rhode Island market.
The Center will expand access to capital and financial literacy programs for individuals and small businesses across the greater Providence area, reinforcing the Bank’s long-standing mission to support economic development and community advancement.

The office will be led by Cheryl Galloway, AVP/Community Development Officer and Sira Salgado, Small Business Relationship Manager/CRA, both experienced banking professionals specializing in community lending and relationship management.  They will provide services in both English and Spanish.  The team will focus on expanding homeownership opportunities for individuals, as well as through partnerships with housing organizations and nonprofits, and delivering financial solutions and educational programs to meet the needs of local entrepreneurs and business owners.   Laura Stack, VP/Community Development Loan Officer, will also work from this location to provide financing for multi-family and mixed-use properties with a residential component.

“This expansion underscores our commitment to investing in Rhode Island and creating greater access to financial resources for families and businesses,” said John Silva, President & CEO of Bristol County Savings Bank. “The Community Lending Center positions us to deepen our relationships in Providence, support economic growth, and deliver on our mission of helping our communities thrive.”
