Celebration at 5 Exchange Street reflects Bristol County Savings Bank’s commitment to Rhode Island

Bristol County Savings Bank, with branch locations across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, on Friday celebrated the grand opening of its downtown Providence branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, open house, and $75,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations through the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation.

Located at 5 Exchange Street in Providence, Rhode Island, in the Homewood Suites building, the branch began serving customers earlier this year, with today’s event marking its official grand opening celebration. Community guests, local leaders, and Bank leadership gathered to commemorate the occasion and the Bank’s continued growth in Rhode Island. The downtown Providence office further strengthens the Bank’s retail banking presence in the state under the leadership of Francine Ferguson, 1st SVP of Retail Banking.

As part of the celebration — and as a meaningful reflection of the Bank’s community-first approach — the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation awarded three $25,000 grants to the Greater Providence YMCACrossroads Rhode Island, and RIBBA. Members of each organization’s leadership team were on hand to accept the grants from Jeff Bradley, SVP/Senior Community Relations Officer, BCSB and Clerk, Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation.

“Today’s grand opening is both an exciting milestone for Bristol County Savings Bank and a celebration of our deepening commitment to Rhode Island,” said John Silva, President and CEO, Bristol County Savings Bank. “Our downtown Providence branch enhances our ability to serve this vibrant community, and we are proud to mark the occasion by supporting organizations that are making a meaningful difference across the state. From individuals and families to businesses of all sizes, we remain committed to delivering the local service, trusted guidance, and long-term partnership our customers value.”

The downtown Providence branch is led by long-time Rhode Island resident Desmond Ranglin, VP, Regional Branch Manager

Its second floor is dedicated to business customers, with the Bank’s Commercial Lending team positioned to support Rhode Island companies ranging from entrepreneurs and small businesses to larger commercial clients. Personal banking customers will also find the trusted service and guidance they have come to expect from Bristol County Savings Bank, along with the convenience of a Walk-Up Live Teller ATM located in the vestibule.

The Providence office builds on Bristol County Savings Bank’s growing Rhode Island presence, which also includes branches in Greenville, Pawtucket, and Cumberland as well as its Community Lending Center at 359 Broad Street, which opened in November 2025.
