Beacon Bank and the bank’s foundation invested more than $600,000 in its communities through charitable giving to over 180 nonprofit organizations in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Vermont from April to June.

“Giving back starts with supporting the organizations that know their communities best,” said Will Tsonos, president of the bank’s Rhode Island region. “Through these partnerships, we’re helping address local needs, strengthen community connections and create a better future for the people we serve.”

Examples of nonprofits in Rhode Island that received funding in the second quarter include:

·        Farm Fresh Rhode Island
·        Newport County Women’s Resource Center
·        Rhode Island Oral Health Foundation
·        The Capital Good Fund
·        YMCA of Pawtucket RI

“At Beacon Bank, our commitment to community is reflected in the relationships we build and the organizations we support,” said Patricia Saracino, vice president, community relations. “By partnering with local nonprofits, we’re helping create opportunities, foster meaningful connection and make a lasting difference throughout Rhode Island.”

Beacon Bank invests in the success and vibrancy of its local communities by supporting programs and organizations that focus on one of three areas: neighborhood revitalization and preservation, education and critical services.
