Bristol County Savings Bank Names Ranglin VP/Branch Manager Providence and Regional Team Leader for RI

Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB), headquartered in Taunton, Massachusetts, announces the appointment of Desmond A. Ranglin to the position of Vice President/Branch Manager Regional Team Leader of its new downtown Providence office, located at 5 Exchange Street.  In this role, Ranglin is responsible for managing branch operations, driving team performance and business growth, customer relations and community engagement for the Providence office as well as supervising all the Bank’s branches in the Greater Providence, Rhode Island region.
 
A seasoned banking professional with over 20-years of progressive experience in financial services, Ranglin has a proven track record of branch leadership, team development and building and nurturing customer relationships.

Prior to joining BCSB, Ranglin served as a VP/Branch Manager for Santander Bank in downtown Providence.  His previous positions included Branch Manager IV and Assistant Branch Manager at Sovereign Bank’s Walpole, Massachusetts and Edgewood, Rhode Island offices, respectively.

Ranglin’s entire extended family resides in Rhode Island, reinforcing his deep roots in the community.  In addition to coaching soccer and serving on various boards and committees, he established a college-bound scholarship fund in memory of his sister, Valarie Ranglin-Brown, who taught in the Providence Public Schools for more than 30 years.  The scholarship supports graduating seniors at Central High School in Providence.  Ranglin is also the Founder and President of the Jamaican Association of Rhode Island and State Chairperson of Jamaica Northeast Diaspora.  He has participated in medical missions to the country and spearheaded hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica as well.  Ranglin earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Roger Williams University, Bristol, Rhode Island and resides in Cranston, Rhode Island.
