BankNewport Named One of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island
Bank recognized among top employers statewide by
Providence Business News and Best Companies Group
BankNewport is proud to announce that it has once again been named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island by Providence Business News and Best Companies Group. The recognition reflects BankNewport’s continued commitment to fostering a supportive, collaborative and employee-focused workplace culture for its employees across Rhode Island.
The annual Best Places to Work program identifies, recognizes, and honors outstanding employers whose policies, practices, and workplace environments positively impact Rhode Island’s economy, workforce, and business community. Participating companies are evaluated through a two‑part process that includes an in‑depth review of workplace policies and practices and a confidential employee survey measuring engagement and overall employee experience. Final rankings are based on combined scores from both components.
“At BankNewport, we believe a strong, engaged workforce is the foundation of everything we do for our customers, our communities, and for each other,” said Jack Murphy, President and CEO of BankNewport. “Being recognized once again as one of the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island is incredibly meaningful because it reflects the voices of our employees and the culture we’ve intentionally built together.”
Final rankings were revealed during the 2026 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island Awards Ceremony held on June 11 at the Crowne Plaza and will be published in Providence Business News in June.
BankNewport’s recognition underscores its ongoing commitment to fostering a workplace grounded in collaboration, professional growth, community engagement, and service. As a mutual bank headquartered in Newport, BankNewport has proudly served Rhode Island families, businesses, and communities for more than 205 years.
