BankNewport Announces Appointment of Benjamin Andrew as Vice President, Senior Commercial Credit Analyst

BankNewport is pleased to announce that Benjamin M. Andrew has joined the Bank as vice president, senior commercial credit analyst. In this role, he is responsible for analyzing financial data to assess the creditworthiness of commercial clients and preparing detailed credit memorandums utilizing cash flow analysis, industry research, and collateral evaluation to support the Bank’s commercial lending decisions.

Andrew joins BankNewport with extensive experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting. Most recently, he served as a senior credit analyst at Chelsea Groton Bank in Groton, Connecticut. Prior to that, he was a credit underwriter with Newtek in Lake Success, New York.

A graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. 

Originally from Enfield, New Hampshire, Andrew currently resides in Richmond, Rhode Island.
