The Garage is a series of events that mash-up area businesses, talent, policy leaders, designers, educators and others to focus on growth strategies, best practices and market trends.  The goal is to shine a spotlight on innovative business successes in an effort to inspire others through stories detailing best practices and "aha" moments, as well as create new and unique networks for future industry sector growth.
 
This second installment of The 2014 Garage series will kick off with the annual Knowledge Economy Forum featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Robert Atkinson, president and founder of The Information Technology & Innovation Foundation who will discuss his organization's 2014 New Economy Index.   

Following the Forum, The Garage "Strengthening the New Economy" Company Showcase will highlight Rhode Island companies that represent knowledge-based, innovative, globalized, entrepreneurial or IT driven industries – many of the categories in which Rhode Island made significant progress in this year's New Economy Index. The event will culminate with a Networking Reception offering attendees the opportunity to meet the presenters, make new connections and expand upon ideas heard at the afternoon sessions.
