Join us as we celebrate the latest issue of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce's publication - #provchamber – spotlighting the Food Innovation Nexus and including a discussion on the positive impact Venture for America is having on our start-up community and overall economy.

Stephen Lane, co-founder of the Food Innovation Nexus, a new independent, research- and design-driven center, is the featured speaker at the Wrap Party. He will share his thoughts about the growing food science industry and how Providence's unique intersection of nutrition, culinary, and health care advances makes it the right spot to create foods used to treat medical conditions.

Our host for the evening is the Flatbread Company, a recent restaurant addition to the College Hill landscape that serves organic salads, flatbreads and desserts.  The newly renovated space includes many unique features such as two wood-fired clay ovens, a wood-fired cauldron, a used book library, a collection of vintage record albums playable by request and eighteen local craft beers on tap.  

Flatbread Company is committed to creating a place where people can replenish and nourish their soul, while contributing to sustainability as a whole through the best food, healthy practices and community involvement.  The company achieves its commitment by buying local products (from artists and farmers), and hosts non-profit fundraising events each week, in which a portion of flatbread sales are donated back to the organization.

 
FREE admission, cash bar. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres provided by Flatbread Company. Each attendee will receive a $25.00 gift card to the Flatbread Company. Space is limited; Reserve early.
