The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce is representing the interests of businesses as a member of the state’s Special Legislative Commission to Study the Effects of Legalizing Marijuana.  We are seeking specific input from employers on how the potential legalization of recreational marijuana in Rhode Island could impact their organizations.  Now is our opportunity to add the business community’s voice to discussions among state leaders developing Rhode Island’s approach to recreational marijuana policy. We invite Chamber members to provide their perspectives on this important issue and to share concrete examples of how the possible legalization of recreational marijuana could affect their business operations. The Chamber is particularly focused on ensuring employers have adequate workplace protections concerning marijuana use.
