This discussion will explore the labor supply problems that confront employers and constrain economic growth in Rhode Island.
The discussion will include projections of labor force growth in the state and explore the relationship between foundational skills of state’s population and economic prosperity.

Paul Harrington - Paul is an economist at Rhode island College where he continues his work on the role of literacy and numeracy skills on various labor market outcomes. Prior to joining RIC, he served as the Director of the Center for Labor Markets and Policy at Drexel University and the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University.
