2013 - THE GARAGE - The Conversation Continues...featuring the Knowledge Economy Community Forum
The Garage is a series of events that mash-up area businesses, talent, policy leaders, designers, educators and others to focus on growth strategies, best practices and market trends. The goal is to shine a spotlight on successful growth companies or the "winners" driving the next iteration of the local economy, in an effort to inspire others through stories detailing best practices and "aha" moments, as well as create new and unique networks for future industry sector growth.
The second installment of The Garage will focus on "The Intersection of Design and Manufacturing" in Rhode Island. Drawing on the state's innovative textile and manufacturing roots, the conversation is being curated to highlight the capacity of Rhode Island's design sector today as a way to grow the economy by illustrating the talent, ideas, and success stories that currently exist in the industry and what's on the horizon.
