Fed Chair Jerome Powell Headlines GPCC Economic Outlook Luncheon

The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce was honored to once again host U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jermone Powell at our 2025 Economic Outlook Luncheon this past Tuesday, September 23 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick. Chair Powell previously spoke to our members at our Annual Meeting in November of 2019.
Nearly 600 of Rhode Island’s top business and civic leaders had the opportunity to hear directly from Chair Powell about several factors impacting the global and national economies, including: labor, employment, trade, tariffs, interest rates, inflation, and the role of the Federal Reserve.
The event was streamed live for anyone who could not attend in person. Links to the fully recorded event, copies of Chair Powell’s remarks, media coverage and event photos are available below.
We thank Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President & CEO Susan Collins, Senator Jack Reed, Congressman Seth Magaziner, our GPCC Board Chair Rick Metters, and University of Rhode Island President Marc Parlange - the Presenting Sponsor - for their participation in helping to make the event so memorable.
Thank you also to all our members in attendance for your engagement, energy and support.
