People's Credit Union Names Kelly Matteson Head of Deposit Services
Brings extensive customer service experience and a high level of analytical and process thinking skills
People’s Credit Union has appointed Kelly Matteson as Head of Deposit Services. Reporting to the Head of Member Delivery & Marketing, she will oversee Deposit Services activities and processing, including the IRA program, the overdraft privilege program, and new deposit account opening and maintenance, as well as ATM/Debit cards, ACH settlement, remote/mobile check deposit and ATM balancing.
“A veteran of Rhode Island community banking, Kelly is just the right leader for our deposit services team,” said Bill DeWitt, Head of Member Delivery & Marketing. “We are always looking to improve how PCU operates and her fresh perspective and mix of branch, deposit operations and auditing experience will be a great asset in those efforts.”
Ms. Matteson brings with her over 15 years of banking experience in increasingly responsible roles at Webster Bank, Washington Trust, and BankNewport. She began her career in retail banking, where she built a strong foundation in customer service and branch operations before transitioning into the areas of Deposit Operations and Audit. Most recently, she was at BankNewport, where she held several roles, including Assistant Branch Manager, Deposit Operations Supervisor, and Internal Auditor. Ms. Matteson is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
